Distribute donations to those in need
Churches across Morgan County may not be able to hold Sunday Service, but they are still working together to impact the lives of people in their community. Churches in Mission is an organization partnering with area churches to help provide food and hygiene products to those who need them in them in the county, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. The organization serves the underprivileged by providing food and hygiene products at their location in Mooresville and Martinsville.
"But we are seeing a major increase in our demand for what resources we are providing," David Maurer, executive director of Churches in Mission, said. "So we are trying to ask everyone in the community to come alongside us.”
Items to donate include:
- hygiene products
- toilet paper
- hand soap
- paper towels
The organization set up two drive-thru's for those in need in the community. Volunteers are loading carts with groceries and helping load the items into people's cars.
